Privacy Statements/Policy Requirements for Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan does not have privacy legislation that applies to private business.  We are under Federal jurisdiction. Federal legislation requires a posted privacy policy that fits your business.  If you collect any information on your website, you also need to post that policy with a link near the area where you are collecting it.

Short Form Privacy Statements

If you do not conduct e-commerce on your website, and you are collecting limited information in order to answer a question, you should place a Privacy Statement on the page where you are collecting the information.  It must be easily accessible and both easy to read and to understand. It must provide an option for the person to seek clarification from someone.  You can only do with the information what you have stated. i.e. If you say you use the information to answer the question, you cannot then use it for training purposes without getting permission from them.

We value your privacy.  We will use the information you have provided to provide you with a response.  We will protect your information and report to you immediately, in case of a breach.
